A painting speaks a thousand words

I like experimenting with different techniques. A while ago I painted mainly with watercolors and publisher ‘Terra’ published our book which I made with my sister José Strijbos: ‘Tussen kleur en gebroken licht’, which means as much as ‘Between color and broken light’. The poems of my sister are written from the perspective of children and represent the ability of ‘amazement’. I illustrated these poems with watercolor paintings.

The pencil drawings are my first products of the wild animals. I developed these animals on canvas with acrylic paint.

Fluid art is yet a whole different technique of which the outcome is less predictable. I also combine the different techniques in the wildlife paintings.
