After recently painting ‘Facing the future’, and in need for a 3rd painting to submit I decided to enter ‘Engaging the future’. As I was in my – lions and cheetahs are the loveliest cats – frame of mind, I pictured how she would engage the future. This resulted in a dark background and surfaced fierceness in her eyes, to be alert and ready for… everything.
This is one of the 3 paintings I submitted to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation for their ‘Wildlife artist of the year 2021‘ contest.
A professional jury assessed the submitted items. Unfortunately I did not make it to the short list…
